Understanding the Timeline - Upgraded Rostering

Use the Timeline view to see who and what changes have been made in your agency

Quickly see what’s changed across your agency and, most importantly, who made those changes. The Timeline gives you a clear snapshot of what has changed to a visit, action and more!

It’s a handy way to spot last-minute schedule changes and stay in the loop with your team’s activity across the app and the Agency Hub.

Why use the Timeline?

In busy rotas, multiple coordinators may update visits throughout the day. The timeline allows you to quickly check what changed without needing to investigate manually.

You can use the timeline to:

  1. Check visit timing and date changes

  2. See when visits are created or cancelled

  3. See who made the changes

  4. Confirm when a change was made

  5. Keep an audit trail for compliance and reporting

This makes it easier to manage your roster and maintain visibility across your team.

Where can I see the Timeline view?

You can access the Timeline view from multiple areas in Birdie, allowing you to track changes in real time:

  • Visit Calendar when clicking on a visit

  • Roster tab when clicking on a visit

  • Within the client feed

  • Within the carer feed

How do I use Timeline view?

Once you have selected a visit in the Log tab or visit calendar, click the new timeline tab:

The Timeline displays a list of updates made to the visit, including:

  • The user who made the change

  • The date and time the change happened

  • The before and after values, highlighted in red with a strikethrough for the before value and green for the new value

This information is not editable, it is to provide a real-time audit of who is making changes on your agency hub.

Only changes made from the 14th April 2026 will show on the agency hub. If you need an audit from dates prior to this, please do contact the Birdie Partner Care Team via Live Chat or email at [email protected].
