Please note: The following feature is available for all of Birdie’s packages.

Team Birdie provides various alerts to help care managers stay informed about critical issues like medication adherence, concerns, or other client-related updates. Notifications can be received via SMS, email, or both, based on personal preferences.

Notifications are customised individually for each staff member to suit their specific roles and needs.

How to change your notification settings

You can choose to receive notifications via emails, SMS or both with Birdie. To select your notifications, start by going to notifications settings, you can also find this by going to the Inbox tab and clicking on the 'Settings' button at the bottom left of the page.

Here, you can choose your preferences for each type of alert, such as:

  • Medication

  • Concerns

  • Forced check-ins

  • Third-party alerts.

If you are receiving too many alerts you can also uncheck these boxes to no longer receive a notification.

We do advise that you only set up notifications for the most critical alerts, this is to make sure that you are not overloaded with text messages. Additionally, notification preferences are specific to each individual profile and must be updated separately by each user.

When you are done you can select the Back to Inbox button at the top of the page.

Please note: Changing these settings will update your notification settings across every agency/branch your profile has access to.

Troubleshooting Notification Issues: If you are not receiving alert notifications via email or SMS, ensure that:

  • Your preferences in the Settings menu are updated for the desired alert types

  • Check that your profile's email address and phone number are accurate and have been saved

Alert notifications for specific client's

To turn off certain alert notifications for specific Clients, start by going to their profile and clicking on Settings on the left-hand side tab.

From here you can turn off Late and missed visit alerts.

You will not be able to turn off Medication or Concerns alerts for individual Clients.
