CM2000 is an Electronic Call Monitoring (ECM) system that many UK councils use to verify that care visits actually happen at the scheduled time and location. It's how councils track care delivery and approve payments to care agencies.

If you are required to use CM2000, you will need to log into this app before you start delivering care on Birdie.

Step-by-step guide

What you will need:

  • CM2000 mobile app

  • NFC tag, QR code, or landline at the client's property

Left: HAS Technology Group login page at login.hastl.com with green logo, email and password input fields, login button, and 'I'm having trouble logging in' link. Right: Healthcare scheduling app showing October 31, 2019 calendar view with patient appointments at Four Oaks House, Sutton Coldfield. Shows scheduled visits for Robert Anderson, Vera Barclay, Terence Benton, Teresa Gibbs, Laura Wright, Thomas Bell, and another Robert Anderson appointment. Appointments have various statuses including overdue, completed, and incomplete, with times ranging from 10:00 to 18:00. Bottom shows 'Scan QR' and 'Press here to record Visit' buttons.

Step 1: Check in on CM2000

  1. Open the CM2000 app on your phone

  2. Find your scheduled visit

  3. Verify your location using one of these methods:

    • NFC Tag: Hold your phone near the NFC tag at the property

    • QR Code: Scan the QR code with your phone camera

    • Landline: Call the designated number if available

  4. Confirm your arrival time in the app

Step 2: Switch to Birdie for care delivery

Once you have checked in with CM2000, use Birdie for everything else, such as:

  • Check into the Birdie app

  • View care plans and tasks

  • Record care notes

  • Complete medication administration

  • Document any observations or incidents

  • Check out of the Birdie app

For a step-by-step guide on how to use the Birdie app, please see this article.

Step 3: Check out with CM2000

Before leaving:

  1. Return to the CM2000 app

  2. Use the same verification method (NFC tag, QR code, or landline)

  3. Confirm your departure time

Important reminders

  • Always verify your location as required by your local authority

  • Record times accurately - this affects payment

  • Contact your care coordinator - if you have technical issues with CM2000

  • Keep both apps updated to avoid connectivity problems

Troubleshooting with CM2000

CM2000 app issues:

  • Check you have the correct app version

  • Ensure your phone has a good signal/wifi

  • Try restarting the app

  • Contact your care coordinator if problems persist

Can't find the NFC tag or QR code?

  • Check common locations: front door, key safe, inside the property

  • Contact your office for the backup verification method

  • Don't leave without properly checking out
