What are Bulk Actions?

Bulk actions allow you to do multiple actions at once. This is ideal when you need to quickly allocate a block of visits — for example, covering a carer's absence or filling a newly created visit schedule.

How to use Bulk Actions - step by step

  1. Head to the Client tab and locate your client

  2. Navigate to the Visit Template tab

  3. Hold shift on your keyboard and click on the visits you need - Selected visits will be highlighted.

Made a mistake? Click an individual visit to deselect it, or click Deselect all on the toolbar to start again.

4. Click assign on the toolbar at the bottom of your screen

A pop-up will appear showing you a list of your care professionals.

💡Please note: availability and other conflicts aren’t visible on this screen. Please check for new rostering conflicts after assigning these visit schedules.

You can only assign one Care Professional at a time. This is intentional, to avoid accidental scheduling conflicts.

5. Select your care professional and then click assign visit schedules.

You’ll need to select exactly when these changes need to be made. The new allocation will visible immediately.

What if I need to unassign?

  1. Hold shift on your keyboard to enter bulk actions mode

  2. Select the visits you wish to unassign

  3. Click the unassign button on the toolbar

Or need to reassign?

  1. Hold shift on your keyboard to enter bulk actions mode

  2. Select the visits you wish to reassign to another carer

  3. Click assign on the toolbar

  4. Select your new carer and select the date you want the changes to be effective from

Reassignment via bulk actions doesn’t check for conflicts such as availability or overlapping visits - please check for any conflicts after assigning schedules.

  5. Save changes

Things to be aware of

  • Bulk actions affect single carer slots so you can’t use bulk actions to assign both slots at once in a multi carer visit.

  • Bulk actions doesn’t check for conflicts, please check for conflicts after visit assignments such as carer leave, availability or overlapping visits.
