Please note: The following feature is available as part of Birdie’s Starter, Core, Advanced and Plus packages (As well as Care Management, Rostering & Finance, Premium, Entry and Essentials) Please get in touch if interested in more information on this feature!

We've outlined key questions and benefits of billing based on 'Active' Care Recipients for relevant customers. Please see a helpful FAQ on this below!

What is Care Recipient billing?

Care Recipient billing means that your monthly cost for Birdie is derived from the number of active Care Recipients in your agency each month. These Care Recipients are charged at an agreed rate.

How does it work?

Subscription Fees: These are your fees for using your Birdie Package on the Platform. They are calculated based on Care Recipients and are subject to a Minimum Subscription (as defined in the Terms linked below). Please see the key defined terms repeated below for clarity.

Care Recipient: A Care Recipient who has been marked with an 'Active' status on the Platform for at least 5 days in a given month. For more information on active and inactive status please see this article here.

Minimum Subscription: This is the minimum number of Care Recipients that you will be charged for each month in your Subscription Fee, regardless of the number of Care Recipients you use on the Platform. If the number of Care Recipients exceeds the Minimum Subscription, you will also be charged for the number of Care Recipients in excess of your Minimum Subscription (the "Variable Care Recipients"). Variable Care Recipients will be charged at the end of each month regardless of the agreed billing frequency for your Subscription Fees.

How will this be invoiced?

As with your current billing, we will agree on a minimum number of active Care Recipients per month for your invoice. We will then review the total number of active Care Recipients through Birdie each invoice period to calculate any overages above that minimum. Dummy clients won't be counted. Learn more about managing dummy clients here
