How to Select the Correct Visit Plan on the Birdie App - Integrated Agencies

A guide to using the Birdie app and completing a visit whilst using a rostering integration.

Please note: This article is for those using an integration with an external rostering system such as Careplanner, Caras, Staffplan etc. If you need guidance on how to use the Birdie app and you do not use an external rostering system please see this article- How to Select the Correct Visit Plan on the App.


How to select the correct visit plan (Integrated) Step by Step

  1. Log into the app and tap the Visits tab. Here you will see all the visits assigned to you for the day. 

  2. Look at the time of the visit and not the name of the Care Recipient. Pick the visit closest to the actual time (In this example it is 14:00 with Mary Budgie).

3. You will be able to see their next visit and any previous visit notes (In this example there have been no previous visits). 

4. You will also be able to view any Care plan information from this page.

5. Tap Start Report.

6. Here you will see the visit plans. Select the visit plan closest to the actual time (In this example the visit plan closet to the actual time is 14:00)

7. Optional step - If you do NOT see a visit plan corresponding to the actual or a similar time you can tap the Continue without visit plan button to start an unscheduled visit.

8. Once you have selected the correct visit plan tap Check in to start your visit. You will be prompted to check in using your agency's secure check-in method and complete tasks and medications.
